Precautionary Boil Notice

On Thursday April the 2nd,2026 the City of Okmulgee had a situation with Alum dosing which lowers turbidity prior to disinfection. Treatment plant staff were able to isolate the problem.and keep water quality in compliance. However,during that process a leak occured and debris got into the chlorine system plugging a feed valve and causing a pressure valve to fail. Becaused of that the disinfection system has been compromised. we are issuing a precautionary boil notice until they can determine thewater quality is compliant with all required standards.
